Wales' One Week Of Summer

Wales has just overcome a massive heatwave to which the temperatures hit 37 degrees Celsius, if that's not even hot for you please be quiet, it very rarely hits 22 in Wales. To make the most of the weather I did a variety of things!

These photos were taken yesterday, don't be fooled by the clouds. It was still hot, but if you can't spend your Monday feeding ducks with a three year old, how can you?

Me and my best friend Georg decided to go out for some Summer drinks and ended up in town somehow! Still a lovely night nonetheless.

This is a special day. Me and my grandma, after we had gone for afternoon tea to celebrate her 90th birthday <3

Me and some work friends decided to head out on the hottest day of the year and spend it by the riverbank, we ended up being too hot so headed up to work and spent it under the trees! That night we ended up going out to a quiz that we do every Tuesday :)

Me and my family headed out to a park to have a picnic, the little boy is my godson/cousin's little boy! This was the day before the heatwave and we had no idea what temperature it would be. Jeans was a bad idea.

This was one of my favourite nights. Me and the work girls headed to the races where we live, we won a bit of money and then watched Peter Andre, so so funny!

My Travel Wishlist

I have always been incredibly lucky in the sense that my family had holidays regularly growing up. I've been to Turkey twice, Ibiza, Zante, Corfu twice, Majorca four times, Paris twice and even the Dominican Republic, and other places around the UK! So yes, incredibly lucky.
But I feel like I'm past the stage of wanting to go on beachy holidays and I want to see more of the world's cultural offers!

1. Iceland

Iceland is the ultimate place I'm dying to go. I think it's so exciting and such a different place that I'm used to. The Blue Lagoon is a place that I have wanted to go since a young child and always, Northern Lights???? YES!

2. Paris

I went to Paris when I was fourteen with my school for four days, and I saw the most popular sights and went to a theme park. Then I went with my mum to Disneyland when I was seventeen. But I would love to go to Paris again and visit old cafes and see the less popular sights but still incredible!

(Cringe! Fourteen year old Katie is not cute.)

3. Australia
Since I was about nine, I have been obsessed with the idea of going to Australia. Surfing, koalas and the accents just make me want to go so badly!

4. New York

I have wanted to go to New York more and more as I've grown up. Watching Gossip Girl does not help with the desire to go! Shopping on Fifth Avenue, and going to Times Square just screams out to me!

5. Mexico
After seeing so many friends going to Mexico, it soon became apparent to me that I wanted to go too. It has the relaxing aspect but with beautiful views and such exciting things to do, it's a mix of relaxation and adventure!

Disclaimer: Pictures that don't have me in, I found on google, I don't take any credit in the slightest:)

I Eat What I Want, When I Want!

Today's post is a bit of a different one. It's become a recent trend to be "clean eating" or even a vegan. If you're not eating a yoghurt with granola for breakfast or smoked salmon with avocado and poached egg on toast, who even are you? My answer? Human.

I have always eaten reasonably healthy, I ate my vegetables, I snacked on grapes. But in today's world, that just isn't good enough. I allow myself to have naughty treats without feeling bad about them, if I want bad food, I'm going to have it.

Growing up, I found eating harder, just because I was so picky. When I was out with friends and they wanted to go for a certain food, I'd panic and not say anything and just have a side order. I have definitely gotten better over the years as I have had a few health problems which means being picky would essentially be awful for me. However, as social media is being a huge influence on people's food choices, sometimes I sit and think "Should I really be eating this?" I'm a 20 year old girl, I'm not easily influenced when it comes to social media, but I can't help think of younger teens seeing the Instagrams and just worrying.

Grace, from graciefrancesca.com or as she was called UglyFaceOfBeauty, recently did a documentary with BBC3 on the truth about Clean Eating. I highly recommend watching it as it literally opens your eyes to these so called experts on clean eating. Grace does a really good job at it all too!

^That picture makes me hungry. I don't care?

I know what you may be thinking, "You're a gym instructor!!" Exactly. A gym instructor. Not an nutritionist, I am mainly qualified in fitness. Very little of my course was to do with food.

I would love to go more into depth on this topic.. maybe in the future!

Too Faced Haul

When this little beautiful box arrived at my door I straight away was in love. It started when I was led on the sofa watching the telly, and I had an email from Too Faced saying it was free shipping worldwide. Knowing I wanted a specific set from the American site, I took my chance.

I ordered the Most Loved Set and got to choose two free samples, I chose the Born This Way foundation. Which came in a strip and gave a good amount of foundation in a sachet, in three different shades. I really appreciate the fact they did that because usually brands just send a random shade! I also didn't realise this but I picked the Hangover X primer as a tester too, even though it came in the set haha!

The set I picked up included the most popular items from Too Faced in mini form including:
-Melted Lipstick in Melted Fig
-Hangover Primer
-Shadow Insurance eye primer
-Chocolate Soleil Bronzer
-Better Than Sex mascara

I had tried the Better than Sex mascara before so I was super excited for it to be included as I'm running out of my current one. I have also got the Melted Nude lipstick and I adored it so I'm happy for another one of them. Although, the colour is a bit out there, I think I'll be brave in the winter.
The chocolate soleil bronzer literally smells like chocolate and it looks so incredible. I've heard great things about the face primer and the eye primer!

I will update you on what I think :)

P.S. I'm really sorry I haven't uploaded in a while, I was going to do a post but I haven't got a reason why. I think I want to just keep this as a hobby and if I pressurize myself, I might not want to even do a post! So yeah, when you get one, you get one, when you don't, you don't! Sorry X

Highend Make Up Spree

With all my travelling, I visited duty free more than once. On my first holiday, I restrained from buying anything from the first time because I knew returning home, I would go nuts.

That I did.

I picked up the MAC Ariana Grande VIVA Glam Lipstick, I ordered this ages ago but was refunded because they had run out of stock. I absolutely adore this shade, I love Ariana, I have nothing like this in my collection, I've never had a VIVA Glam and all the proceeds go to charity. What else could you want?

Awful lighting lol, I apologise.

I also picked up the Amber Times Nine palette, I was going to get the burgundy one but I feel as if I wouldn't reach for it that much. It's nice and compact and so perfect for travel. Definitely a must if you're looking to try MAC eyeshadows!

On my third holiday, (my second one was in a little village) this is where I branched out. I had done my research and knew that the duty free while returning was small so I decided to treat myself on the way, to Estee Lauder. I have been on the hunt for a eyelash primer for ages and I was torn between Estee Lauder's Little Black Primer or Benefit They're Real Primer. I decided to pick up the Estee Lauder one as there was a kit available, the primer and the Sumptuous Mascara. I so far, love the primer! I haven't tried the mascara as of yet.

When I was on holiday, we went in to Corfu town, and I was incredibly shocked and SO excited to see a Sephora. I ran down the street and ran straight in, I picked up a fask mask and some bath fizzers from the actual Sephora brand and then I picked up the Too Faced Natural Mattes palette, which I absolutely adore and think it could already be one of my ultimate favourites!

Sidari, Corfu: 60 Words and 13 Pictures

I headed to Corfu last week with my mum, dad and sister. There wasn't much to say about the holiday apart from the fact I went to Sephora, in Corfu town. I chilled on the beach everyday, I went in the sea, I watched the football and chilled. So I figured I would just show you cute pictures.. so voila!

Outfits Of The Week: Cala Vinyes

Last week, I headed to the Spanish island of Majorca, to a town of Cala Vinyes. I have plenty of things to write about it, but today I wanted to show you the outfits I wore. I didn't include "day outfits" as usually it was my cover up from Primark or some random shorts and top!

As we left our homes at 3am, comfort was my main priority. I wore:

Scarf: was a gift i'm afraid! I think maybe New Look or H&M? It was a dream on the plane!
Leggings: Ivy Park, Beyonce's range at Topshop!
Hoodie: PINK
Shoes: Converse

Our first night I wanted to get in the holiday mode. I wore:

Top: New Look, still in stores.
Shorts: Primark, years ago!
Shoes: Primark, a couple of weeks ago so may still be there!

I didn't get a proper outfit look but my whole outfit is Primark, they always tend to have that top in different colours there, I wore the shorts I had worn previously and my shoes were last year gladiator sandals!

This was actually my Magaluf outfit, hahaha, more on that soon!
Playsuit: BooHoo
Sandals: Primark

I was exhausted this day so hence the chill outfit.
Jumpsuit: H&M
Sandals: Primark

I absolutely adored wearing this on the first night, and we only were out for an hour so I decided to rewear it for this night but switched it up for converse!

Horrifically awful photo of me, but I was feeling the Spanish vibes so I wore:

Top: Primark
Trousers: Bought in Spain a couple of years ago, you can usually find these abroad and they're coming back into fashion now!
Shoes: Primark

Our final night so I made a bit more of an effort!

Jumpsuit: New Look, still in stores.
Sandals: Primark. They were a lifesaver!
